Event Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all events run by The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice (PPWH). By buying a ticket, registering, or attending, you agree to these terms.

1. Attending our events

  • Tickets and registrations are for adults aged 18 or over, unless stated otherwise.

  • Under-18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

  • Please follow any safety instructions from PPWH staff, volunteers, or venue teams.

  • If you feel unwell or have been advised not to take part, please don’t attend.

2. Tickets and refunds

  • Your place is confirmed once payment is received, or that you have registered to attend. 

  • An automated confirmation email will be sent to you. If you have not received this into your main inbox, please check your junk mail. 

  • Unless the event details say otherwise, tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

  • If you can’t attend, let us know at fundraising@ppwh.org.uk we may, at our discretion, offer to transfer your place or treat the cost as a donation.

  • If PPWH cancels an event (and it isn’t rescheduled), you’ll be offered a full refund of your ticket or registration fee.

  • We can’t refund travel, accommodation, or any other costs if the event changes or is cancelled.

3. Fundraising events

  • Some challenge or sponsored events include a minimum fundraising target which will be shown on the event page or confirmation.

  • Funds raised should be sent to PPWH as soon as possible after the event.

4. Photos and filming

  • We often take photos and videos at events to use these in our marketing collateral, social media, website and live streaming. 

  • By attending, you agree that PPWH may use your image without licence.

  • If you prefer not to appear in photos or filming, please identify yourself to a member of our event staff, and we will do our utmost to respect this.

5. Accessibility and wellbeing

  • We aim to make our events welcoming and inclusive.

  • If you have accessibility or support needs and are attending an event at PPWH located in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, Scotland, then please let us know at least 10 working days in advance so we can make reasonable adjustments.

  • For events taking place in 3rd party venues, located in venues not owned or controlled by PPWH, then we advise you contact that venue directly to check accessibility requirements. Please also contact our events team emailing fundraising@ppwh.org.uk

  • Take part only if you’re fit and well enough to do so and follow any medical or safety advice.

6. Behaviour and safety

  • Please act respectfully towards staff, volunteers, and other attendees.

  • Anyone acting antisocially or dangerously may be refused entry or asked to leave.

  • Only assistance dogs are permitted at most indoor events (check the event page for outdoor policies).

7. Data and privacy

  • We collect and use your personal data to manage your booking and event participation.

  • You can update your contact preferences or opt out of marketing at any time.

8. Complaints and feedback

If something goes wrong or you’d like to give feedback, please speak to a PPWH staff member at the event or contact info@ppwh.org.uk afterwards.

9. Final notes

  • We may update these terms from time to time.

  • These terms are governed by Scottish law, and any disputes will be handled by the Scottish courts.
