Community fundraising is a way of bringing the local community together to raise money for Glasgow’s Hospice.
Community fundraising is carried out by a range of volunteers including schools, churches, civic groups and individuals who support the aims and vision of the hospice within the community.

Are you part of a community group or business that could support the work of the hospice?

We can arrange for a hospice representative to visit and speak with your community group about the work of the hospice.
We can support your fundraising activities by offering ideas, advise and materials. Here are some ideas to get you started.
We love visiting schools and nurseries to deliver presentations and tell your pupils all about the work of the hospice. Our team are here to support all you need for fundraising activities, YPI projects, leadership groups and school charity representatives.

Are you required to organise a fundraising event as part of your course? We can help! We can support with fundraising ideas, industry advice and personal experience of being a student and managing coursework.
Would you like a special guest to attend your school, college or university? We can check our much-loved mascot, Harvey’s diary. The fastest mascot in the world to run a marathon loves to visit our supporters, but be quick before he is in training for his next marathon.

Collect your small change and make a big difference! Every penny that you save in your home money box helps us to continue to care for our patients and their families. Please get in touch with the fundraising team and we will send out a box.

Do you have a birthday or special anniversary coming up? You could ‘donate’ your birthday or anniversary to the hospice to help us continue to care for patients and their families. Set up a fundraising page on Facebook, Just Giving or use the donation page on the hospice website
Share the link with your friends and family and ask them to donate to the hospice in lieu of buying presents.

There are many ways that you can raise funds online for the hospice at no cost to yourself. Direct Donation The simplest way to support Glasgow’s Hospice online is by donating directly to us here.
You can make a one-off or regular donation to support patient care. Online Fundraising Platforms Did you know using Facebook is a great way to fundraise? You can create a fundraiser for a challenge, birthday or anniversary easily on Facebook
You could also take part in many of the Facebook fundraising events that we create throughout the year.
