Volunteer Services Administrator

Salary: £23,463 per annum
Who are we? We’re The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice. We’re a well-established charity located at 20 Dumbreck Road, Bellahouston Park, Glasgow G41 5BW. The hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with a life-limiting, progressive illness, and support for their families and carers.
In a busy office environment with highly confidential information, you will have excellent IT competence, a confident telephone manner and be accustomed to managing the requirements of a demanding and often competing workload.
You will assist the Volunteer Services Manager with:
- Managing the recruitment process for volunteers, including advertising positions, reviewing applications, and conducting interviews.
- Ensuring all necessary paperwork and background checks are completed during the onboarding process.
- Support line managers to create and maintain volunteer schedules.
- Coordinating volunteer assignments based on organisational needs and individual preferences.
- Maintaining accurate records of volunteer hours, tasks, and performance.
- Track volunteer attendance and provide reports as needed.
- Assisting with volunteer training programs.
- Providing ongoing support and professional development opportunities for volunteers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Represent the organisation in the community and promoting volunteer opportunities
