Inspired to Give Back
In 1998, Derek’s father was cared for at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow. The compassion and support shown to his family during that time left a lasting impression, one that has inspired Derek to support the hospice ever since.

Derek lives in Houston, Renfrewshire. He chose to leave a gift in his Will after his father died while being cared for at the hospice, and has continued to support the organisation in any way he can since then. For him, leaving a gift felt like a natural and meaningful way to say thank you.
Derek recognises the dedication it takes to keep the hospice running. He understands the commitment of staff and volunteers, as well as the vital funding required to provide care, and believes that a gift in a Will can make a real difference.
A Place Filled With Care
What stayed with Derek most was the atmosphere within the hospice. He remembers being encouraged by the hard work and commitment of everyone there, and the sense of love that could be felt as soon as you walked through the doors.
A Lasting Impact
Gifts left in Wills help ensure that families continue to receive compassionate care at the hospice, now and in the future. They support the dedicated staff and volunteers who make such a difference every day.
