Inspired to Give Back
In 1998, Derek’s father was cared for at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow. The compassion and support shown to his family during that time left a lasting impression, one that has inspired Derek to support the hospice ever since.

‘I live in Houston, Renfrewshire. The reason for leaving a gift in my Will is that my father passed away while being cared for at the hospice. Since then, I’ve been more than happy to support the hospice in any way I can.’
For Derek, choosing to leave a gift in his Will felt like a natural way to say thank you.
‘It’s very important. It takes a huge amount of dedication from staff and volunteers, and significant funding, to keep the hospice running. A gift in your Will can make a real difference.’
A Place Filled With Care
What stayed with Derek most was the atmosphere within the hospice itself.
‘I was encouraged by the hard work and commitment of everyone there. You feel the love as soon as you walk through the doors. Long may it continue.’
A Lasting Impact
Gifts left in Wills help ensure that families continue to receive compassionate care at the hospice, now and in the future. They support the dedicated staff and volunteers who make such a difference every day.
