Care Hour campaign at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice

The clocks go back. Care never stops.

On 26 October, we gain an extra hour and at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, that hour means so much more. Over the next two weeks, our Care Hour campaign invites you to donate the value of one hour to help fund the compassionate, specialist care we provide every single day.

Just one hour can make a world of difference to a patient and their family. As the clocks go back, let’s turn that extra hour into something truly meaningful: an hour of comfort, dignity, and support.

What your hour could fund

  • £15 could provide a full day of healthy, nutritious meals for a patient
  • £64 could fund a personalised rehabilitation session, helping a patient regain strength and independence
  • £83 could fund one hour of support in our Family Support Service
  • £90 could fund one hour of care in our Young Adult Service
  • £293 could fund one hour of activity and therapy in our Living Well / Day Services

The clocks go back. Care never stops.

Fund an hour of vital care at Glasgow’s Hospice. Donate today and make your hour count for local patients and families.

Corporate Care Hour

At The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, an hour can become something extraordinary: an hour of expert, compassionate care for someone who needs it most.

This autumn, we challenge businesses to raise £515: the cost of providing one hour of specialist care in our Inpatient Unit.

Take on the Care Hour Challenge and turn 60 minutes into something that truly matters. Try one of these:

  • Run, walk or cycle for an hour as a team
  • Bake for an hour and sell your treats to raise funds
  • Host an hour-long quiz or team challenge and see who comes out on top
  • Donate what you’d spend in an hour – your coffee, lunch or commute
  • Give an hour of your time and inspire colleagues to join in

Every pound raised helps provide vital care and comfort for patients and families at Glasgow’s Hospice.

Why help fund vital hospice care?

  • Financial strain: our funding is scarce, and we are facing what could be our most challenging year yet.
  • Growing demand: every year, the demand for our services increases, stretching our resources even further.
  • Funding gap: we receive only a fraction of our operating costs from the NHS, leaving a significant gap we need to fill.
