“Training and taking part in the event with friends is a great way to test your fitness. It’s a real sense of achievement to raise money for the hospice.”

If you would like to do a cycle challenge like Heather and raise money for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice here are some tips.

1. Get organised. Think about distance. The time you are going to need to devote to training.

2. Which cycle challenge are you going to pick. Make sure that you have the right entry requirements to take part. Have you got the right kit?

3. Raise the money – get your sponsorship form out and about, don’t be shy asking for sponsorship. Set up a fundraising page or use ours. Talk about why you are fundraising for the The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.

4. Talk to our fundraising team – if you need any more information call or email us and we’ll give you our full support and more information about marathon running on behalf of Glasgow’s Hospice.

5. Remember to.. enjoy yourself!
