Soraya Fenton is an ambassador for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.
She is director, Argyll Fenton; executive assessor, developer and coach has just under 20 years’ assessment and development experience working with executives and senior level managers, from medium to large-scale organisations within a wide range of business sectors. Prior to establishing Argyll Fenton 15 years ago, she was executive director of a selection and development subsidiary of a global US organisation listed on NASDAQ. Her early career benefited from working with PA Consulting Group, in the executive search division, one of the leading global management consultancies.
For the last 20 years, Soraya has worked with boards (CEOs, MDs, CFOs, CTOs, HRDs), functional executives (engineering, sciences, R&D, finance, HR, supply chain / logistics, marketing and business development), talent assets, and international regional executives and local senior managers on coaching, mentoring and leadership programmes predominantly but not exclusively in the private sector, with complex, global organisations and large, progressive SMEs; her work has also covered large scale multipart stakeholder public sector and voluntary sector organisations. She actively works with investors in PE & VCT on board and senior leadership diligence assessing and developing both main and executive boards.
A languages/communication and social sciences graduate of Strathclyde University, in Glasgow, she holds a Masters in Human Resource Management and Development, where she majored in mentoring from the same university - one of the top five in Europe for this subject. Her studies also provided her with a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management; Soraya is accredited by the British Psychological Society for ability and character profiling, and she was awarded fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development in June 2005. In 2009 she gained the UK Institute of Leadership & Management, a nationally endorsed body by UK universities, the highest accredited ILM Level 7 qualification for executive coaching and leadership mentoring. Her own coaching supervisor is one of the UK and Europe’s leading experts in coaching and leadership, acclaimed author of more than 20 books, Professor Peter Hawkins. Since 2007, she has been working around 50% of her time with international coachees / leaders from France, Germany, Spain, Russia, Holland, India, USA and Canada.
