Executive director in Scotland for the Institute of Directors (IoD), David has been with the IoD for more than 10 years and in that time has seen the Scottish operation grow and prosper as work in supporting and developing directors in Scotland continues to gather pace and grow in importance.
He has extensive experience in the public, private and voluntary sectors, and continues this in various roles as a board member and advisor in a number of settings.
On a personal note, he is a keen golfer and follower of rugby, with a non-party interest in politics and current affairs.
Talented and committed directors, delivering quality corporate leadership and governance, are vital to the nation’s prosperity and David is enthusiastic about the role the IoD can play in representing, developing and supporting its members to the benefit of them as individuals, their companies and the Scottish economy.
He has been an enthusiastic ambassador for the hospice for most of his time at the IoD in Scotland.
