Volunteer Bucket Collectors

Key Tasks:
- Support bucket collections in assigned areas on specific dates and times.
- Collect cash donations and take card payments from the public.
- Handle cash donations securely.
- Represent The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
- Work as part of a team with other Bucket Collection Volunteers, passing buckets and equipment to the next volunteer or the Fundraising team at the end of your shift.
- Provide occasional information about the Hospice to enquirers and refer them to the appropriate staff member for detailed questions.
Skills, Experience, and Personal Qualities Needed:
- Access to transportation to and from the collection location.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Must be aged 16 or over and possess photo ID.
- Polite with good communication skills.
- Ability to accept rejection without taking it personally.
- Reliable, committed, and trustworthy.

- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Attend mandatory volunteer training and updates on health and safety and other relevant training.
Time Commitment:
- The number of days and hours will be negotiated between the volunteer and the Volunteer Services Team, with a minimum of 2 hours per collection.
Training and Support:
- Full induction led by the Volunteer Services Team.
- Additional training available if appropriate.
- Regular contact and support from the Volunteer team.
- Provided with a Hospice sash, tabard, or t-shirt depending on the venue.
Location:

- Locations will vary but will be within the Greater Glasgow or East Renfrewshire areas.
