Appropriate for: All trained healthcare professionals in greater Glasgow and Clyde who wish to explore the concept of holistic, palliative and end-of-life care.
This is a five-day module:
Over the five days experts in their field will deliver sessions including palliative and end-of-life care, holistic assessment and mangement of a wide-range of symptoms, capacity, ethics and decision-making, palliative emergencies, loss, grief and bereavement and self-care.
This module can be completed for level 9 or level 10 accreditation though Glasgow Caledonian University or as continued personal development. An action plan must be completed to demonstrate how the participant plans to improve practice from the theory gained.
We aim to:
Enhance confidence and competence in delivering person-centred palliative care.
Help you understand the importance of holistic assessment and management of symptoms.
Encourage conversations around death, grief and bereavement.
Raise awareness of identifying and managing palliative emergencies.
Raise awarenss of strategic local and national drives for palliative care.
Free for CPD. Accredited costs £100. Payable to Glasgow Caledonian University.
