Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice

Glasgow City Council has been a supporter of The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice since its inception and gifted the charity its current premises at Carlton Place in the 1980s. The council went on to gift the land within Bellahouston Park, where the new hospice is being built, at a peppercorn rate of £1 for 60 years.

The council's Land and Environmental Services raised £51,000 within an 18-month period for the hospice and our schools and nurseries across the city have raised nearly £100,000 to kit out the young persons' bedrooms and den in the new hospice.
